    List R100 an hour and you receive R100 an hour. Nothing is deducted from what you earn, on any booking, ever.

  • The fee is added, not subtracted

    The student pays your rate plus our protection fee. They see the total on your profile before they book, so there is no negotiation about it and no surprise at checkout.

Getting listed.

  1. Set up your profile

    Your subjects, your area, and your own rate for online and in person.

  2. Get approved

    A person goes through every new profile before it goes live, so a listing here is worth having.

  3. Open your sessions

    Open the times you want to teach, up to 90 days ahead. Students book those and nothing else.

  4. Teach and get paid

    Teach in the built-in video. You keep 100% of your rate, and withdraw to your bank.

  • Your diary stays yours

    Students can book the times you have opened and nothing else, up to 90 days ahead. Close a week and it is closed.

  • The free first session is yours to offer

    Switch on a free 20-minute introductory session and students filtering for one will find you. It is bookable once per student, and it is optional: useful for filling a new profile, not something we require.

  • One account, both sides

    The same login learns and teaches. You can book a tutor for yourself without a second account.

What does it cost to list?

Nothing. Creating a profile, being listed, messaging students and using the calendar are all free. Our only charge is the protection fee, and the student pays that on top of your rate.

How do I start tutoring on Unotura?

Add a tutor profile to your account with your subjects, the area you work in, a short about and your own hourly rates, then get approved by us. Once you are live, open sessions on your calendar up to 90 days ahead. You keep 100% of the rate you set.

When do I get paid?

The student’s payment is held until the session has happened, which is what the protection fee pays for on their side. After that and a short clearing period the money becomes available in your wallet, and it goes to your bank on the cadence you pick: weekly, fortnightly or monthly, all free. There is an instant payout if you would rather not wait for your cycle, and that one carries a fee.

What if a student cancels?

Published cancellation terms decide it, the same for every tutor. Cancel far enough ahead and the student gets everything back; closer to the session you keep a share, because you held the time and cannot fill it.

Can I set different rates for online and in person?

Yes, and most tutors do. In-person sessions carry travel, so they usually cost more. Both rates sit on your profile and you can change either whenever you like.
